In 1993 we moved to Coral Springs Fl.. All of the cities had very large roller hockey programs. It was not unusual to have 200 -250 kids from each city participating in a league. We lived one mile from the outdoor rink and Michael started playing roller hockey when he turned seven. When we moved back to Michigan Michael joined the JCC Inline Hockey program.
In the Fall of 2000, I moved back to Michigan and the family followed over the winter holidays. That spring Michael started playing at the Jewish Community Center in the Inline Hockey Center. I coached the Fall of 2000 before Michael returned and I coached him the first season. That season was the last time I coached him. We won the season championship in a very close and wonderfully played game. Tied until the end - then one last score and they won!
